Sustaining Strength

February 7, 2017

It has been a very busy last few weeks for me and my family as we transition to FBC, and we praise the Lord for His sustaining strength. We’re looking forward to the days ahead!

One of the early joys in these first few weeks has been getting to know the staff and to learn how everyone is serving. Although I’m just getting started, I have had the privilege of working with Sarah Franklin, who serves as an assistant to Pastor John and me. Sarah recently informed us that she will be transitioning into a new role in the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office in the coming weeks. I joked with her that she took new employment with the court after a lawyer was brought on staff at the church! Even in the short time I’ve worked with her, Sarah has demonstrated a strong work ethic, and it is evident that she has been an excellent addition to the staff at FBC. She will certainly be missed, but we’re confident that the Lord has supplied her this great opportunity that she applied for even before being hired at FBC. Faith in the Lord includes faith in His timing.

Please join me in praying for Sarah during her transition, as well as praying for our staff and personnel committee as we seek her replacement.

Nick Tidwell
