At First Baptist Gallatin our goal is to connect children and their families to Jesus Christ through discipleship, worship, and acts of service.
Where can my children participate?
Preschoolers will have Sunday School during all three periods. Each period will have a different group of teachers and they will be doing different activities that center around one Bible story. Even though the Bible story will be the same, the children will learn through repetition.
Sunday School classes are at 9:45am for first through fifth grade. At 8:30 and 11:00am grades first through fifth are invited to attend Children's Worship. Our children worship in an exciting atmosphere with age-appropriate lessons and activities. Parents need to pick up their children after the service on the first floor.
Where do I go?
When you arrive on the campus you can enter through the Boyers Street entrance. You will enter on the second floor. The preschool hallway will be immediately to your right. Please use the check-in stations and proceed to your child's classroom. The classrooms are marked by age.
Elementary students will attend classes on the first floor. We have check-in stations as you enter the hallway.
Are there security measures in place for my child?
Yes. All parents are asked to use the computer check-in station and then take their children to their designated rooms and at the conclusion, pick him or her up. We ask that no children come or leave without a parent. All children will wear a two-part sticker. The child wears one part and the parent keeps the other half. When the parent returns to pick their child up, the teacher will compare the child's number to the parent's sticker number.
What happens if my child attends more than one service?
We encourage families to attend two hours of activities on Sundays – one hour for worship and one hour for Sunday School. Your child may attend the regular worship service with your family or attend Children’s Worship for grades 1-5 with activities planned especially for their age. Preschoolers will be involved in Sunday School for one hour and Extended Session during the worship hour. Both hours will have the same Bible story but incorporate different activities to reinforce the Bible truth.
Do you have activities other than Sunday?
Yes. There are activities for children on Wednesday evening as well. There is Childcare for bed babies through 1 year olds 6:00-7:30. Missions and KREW Music rotate on a two month schedule for 2 year olds through fifth grade from 6:00-7:30pm.
Does your church have a day care program?

Wednesday Night Kids
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30pm Children's 1st Floor
Each Wednesday Night our Children's Ministry electrifies with a combination of high- energy activities for kids grades 1st-5th. Its lively pace provides a flourishing place for kids to make connections and develop friendships while serving and growing! Wednesday Night Kids incorporates a kid-based curriculum that includes: Biblical training through Bible Skills & Drills, joyful worship through music in Children's Choir, and hands-on mission opportunities through GA's and RA's.
Bible Skills & Drills teaches the fundamentals of Biblical knowledge and competency through fast-paced games and training. Its fun curriculum offers a unique mixture of activities that help kids build strong Bible Skills, strong life application, and a strong foundation in Bible drill. These proficiencies are essential to solid Christian growth.
FBC Gallatin embraces the idea that our children are our future worship leaders, and take great responsibility in leading these children to seek God in worship through music. FBC Gallatin offers two choirs for the following age groups: Preschool – Kindergarten and 1st – 5th Grade. Each group meets on Wednesdays throughout the year on a rotating basis and periodically share special programs and sing in our worship services.
GA's and RA's provide an opportunity for kids to not only learn about missionaries throughout the world, but actively take part in missions. Our children mission groups visit FBC Homebound members, local assisted living homes, and the Veteran's Home several times throughout the year. They also participate in various fellowship events including the GA Tea, RA campout, and RA vs. GA Racer Night.
